Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Angelique Magnaye, who operates DoFirst. By using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use DoFirst.

What DoFirst is

DoFirst helps you limit time in the apps you choose by blocking them after a daily allowance and letting you earn more time by showing proof that you made, moved or learned something. It is a self-control tool. You stay in charge, and you can change your settings or remove the blocks at any time.

Your account

You sign in with Apple. You are responsible for your device and account. You must be at least 13 years old to use DoFirst, and if you are under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission.

Screen Time and blocking

DoFirst relies on Apple's Screen Time features. Blocking depends on iOS, your permissions and your device, so we cannot guarantee it will work every time. You can turn it off in iOS Settings. Do not rely on DoFirst for anything where a missed block could cause harm.

Your content

What you create as proof stays yours. You give us a limited license to store and process it only to run the app for you. Do not upload content that is unlawful, infringes someone's rights, or that you do not have the right to share. We do not show your creations to other users.

Clubs

Clubs let you see friends' counts and streaks. Be kind. Do not use club names, display names or buddy names that are hateful, harassing, sexual or impersonate others. We may remove clubs or accounts that break this rule.

Pro subscriptions and purchases

• DoFirst has a free tier and an optional Pro plan: monthly, yearly (with a free trial for new subscribers), and lifetime. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in your iPhone Settings under your name, then Subscriptions.
• If you start a free trial and do not cancel in time, you will be charged the plan price when it ends.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
• Rewards such as the 21 Day Reset's free Pro months and club referral weeks are offers we may change or end, but we will honor any you have already earned.

DoFirst is not a medical, mental health or therapy service. Mood taps and reflection prompts are for personal reflection only. If you are struggling, please reach out to a qualified professional or local emergency services.

Acceptable use

Do not try to break, reverse engineer, overload or misuse the app, create fake proof in bulk, or use it to harm others.

Ending your use

You can stop using DoFirst and delete your account in Settings at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms. Sections that should survive ending, such as limits of liability, will survive.

Disclaimer

DoFirst is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not promise it will meet every need, be uninterrupted or be error free.

Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or lost data or profits, arising from your use of DoFirst. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Changes

We may update these terms. If changes are meaningful we will tell you in the app. Using DoFirst after an update means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict of law rules. Local consumer protection laws that cannot be waived still apply to you.
