Privacy Policy

DoFirst ("DoFirst", "we", "us") is an iPhone app that helps you spend less time scrolling and more time making things. DoFirst is operated by Angelique Magnaye. This policy explains what we collect, what stays on your phone, and the choices you have.

The short version

• The apps you pick to block, and your Screen Time usage, stay on your phone. We never send them to our servers.
• What you make as proof is private. Other people, including club members, never see it.
• We do not sell your data, show ads, or use third party ad trackers.
• You can delete your account and data inside the app at any time.

The waitlist

If you join the waitlist on our website, we store your email address and the date you signed up, only to invite you to the beta and tell you when DoFirst launches. We do not sell or share it. To be removed, email hello@getdofirst.com and we will delete it.

What stays on your device

• The apps and categories you choose to block. Apple gives these to the app as private tokens that cannot be read or sent anywhere.
• Your Screen Time usage and your allowance countdown.
• Your daily wallet, active passes, and shield settings, stored in a shared on-device container so the blocking works offline.

What we collect when you create an account

You sign in with Sign in with Apple. We receive a unique account ID, and the name and email you choose to share (you may use Apple's private relay email). We also store:

• Profile choices: display name, goals you picked, daily allowance, earn rate, your buddy and its name.
• Activity records: that you made something (type, date, length), wallet events, work passes, focus sprints, and your 21 Day Reset progress.
• Your mood taps and any reflection text you choose to write.
• Your proof files (photos, video, audio, writing), stored in a private folder only your account can access.
• Club data if you join one: club name, membership, and counts such as things made, sprint minutes and Reset day.
• Subscription status. Payments are handled by Apple. We never see your card details.

Apple Health

If you choose the Move goal, DoFirst asks to read your workouts from Apple Health. It is read only and limited to workouts. We use it only to check that you finished a workout today. We do not write to Apple Health and we do not use Health data for advertising.

Photos, microphone and notifications

DoFirst asks to use your photo library to verify when a video or photo was made, your microphone to record audio, and notifications to bring you back to the app from a block screen. Each permission is optional, and you can change it in iOS Settings.

How we use your information

• To run the app: your allowance, passes, proof checks, streaks and clubs.
• To sync your progress and restore it on a new phone.
• To keep the service secure and fix problems.

What other people can see

Members of your club see counts and streaks only: your name, buddy, things made, sprint minutes and Reset day. They never see your creations, reflections, mood taps or Screen Time.

Who we share data with

We use Supabase to host our database and file storage. They process data for us under their terms. We may disclose information if the law requires it. We do not sell personal information.

Reflections are not therapy

The reflection prompts in DoFirst are for personal reflection. They are not therapy, medical advice or a diagnosis. We store your reflections only to show them back to you.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your data while your account is open. To delete everything, open Settings in the app and tap "Delete my account". This removes your profile, activity, files and club memberships from our servers and signs you out. If you cannot use the app, email us from the address on your account and we will delete it.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, and every account's data is separated so that only you can read your own records. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

Children

DoFirst is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has given us data, email us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data. You can delete it in the app, or email us for anything else and we will respond within 30 days.

International use

Our servers may be located outside your country. By using DoFirst you understand your data may be processed where our providers operate.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for meaningful changes, tell you in the app.
